The Red Arrows and other RAF jets will take to the skies on Saturday, June 13, for the annual Trooping the Colour parade, marking the King's official birthday. The event culminates with a flypast over Buckingham Palace at 1pm, watched by the Royal Family from the balcony.
The aircraft will take off from RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire before heading south. They will fly over Boston, the Norfolk and Suffolk coast, then Ipswich, Colchester, Chelmsford, and Reading around midday. The formation will be visible over northwest London shortly before 1pm as they approach Belgravia.
After passing over Buckingham Palace, the jets will continue west through Hounslow and Feltham, then north over Windsor and Slough. Their route proceeds in a straight line to Northampton, where they adjust course toward Colsterworth.
The Ministry of Defence has not yet released the full list of aircraft, but last year's display included four Chinook helicopters, a Lancaster from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, a Phenom, a Typhoon, an F-35, and a C17 Globemaster. The Red Arrows are expected to conclude the flypast with a red, white, and blue display.
Spectators can watch from The Mall, though crowds gather from dawn. The event will be broadcast live on BBC1 from 10:30am, including the flypast at 1pm.
