A search is underway after a security breach at a naval base in Darwin, Australia, in the early hours of Friday morning.
Police said an intruder overwhelmed a crew member on a moored patrol boat before stealing a number of weapons.
Royal Australian Navy chief Vice Admiral Ray Griggs, speaking in Sydney, confirmed that police were investigating the incident but offered no further details.
The search for the suspect continues, with authorities yet to confirm the exact number of weapons taken.
