Paul Black, a major figure in physics education in the UK and internationally, has died. He was appointed a Knight of St Gregory by Pope Paul VI in 1974.
Career in Physics Education
Black played a major part in shaping physics education in the UK and beyond. He was co-leader of the influential Nuffield A-level physics course, which ran from the early 1970s into the 1990s.
International Leadership
He went on to be president of the international physics education research organisation known as GIREP.
