South African-born jurist and former UN human rights chief Navi Pillay has won the Nobel Peace Prize for her efforts to promote peace and international law. The 85-year-old, who serves as an ad hoc judge at the International Court of Justice, received the news while attending the Nuremberg Forum in Germany.
