Hamilton taken to medical centre after Singapore GP illness

Lewis Hamilton has been taken to the medical centre at the Marina Bay Circuit after falling unwell following the Singapore Grand Prix. The Ferrari driver was given dispensation to skip his media duties as a result.

Hamilton was seen crouching and looking to the floor in parc ferme after climbing out of his Ferrari, and it has now been confirmed that he sought medical attention.

Sky Sports F1 host Simon Lazenby confirmed the news live on air, saying: "We were hoping to hear from Lewis Hamilton before we go, however, he got out of the car and he was feeling unwell so he has gone to the medical centre. He has been given dispensation not to go to the pen and fact the world's media."

The seven-time world champion's condition has not been further detailed, and no update on his recovery has been provided at this time.
