Take That London Heat Warning: 40C Temps, Water Price Cut

Take That fans attending the band's three-night residency at London Stadium this weekend have been issued an extreme heat warning as temperatures could reach 40°C, with a rare red 'extreme heat' warning in place from the Met Office until 9pm on Thursday, 25 June. An amber warning also remains active until 11:59pm on Thursday.

Heat Dome Brings Extreme Conditions

A 'heat-dome' settling over western Europe has triggered extreme conditions across the continent. The Met Office warned that the combination of extreme heat and humidity could impact public health, infrastructure, and power and water supplies across the UK. The red alert covers the East of England, East Midlands, London, the South East, the South West and the West Midlands.

London Stadium Implements Safety Measures

Take That will perform The Circus Live Tour at London Stadium on Thursday, Friday and Saturday (June 25, 26 and 27) before returning to The Etihad Stadium on Wednesday, July 1. In response to the weather warnings, the venue announced a 50% price reduction on Smart Water across both concessions and hospitality to support guest safety and enhance the overall experience.

A statement from London Stadium said: 'We are closely monitoring the forecast for our shows on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and have measures in place to support the safety and wellbeing of all attendees.'

Guidance for Attendees

Fans are advised not to camp outside the stadium or within Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, as this is against local bylaws and can be unsafe in high temperatures. If arriving early, there is plenty of shade available under trees and planting within the park.

Attendees should come prepared for warm conditions, including wearing suitable clothing, sun protection, and bringing water. No glass or cans are permitted, but reusable water containers, including metal bottles, will be allowed. Soft drinks and water in plastic bottles are permitted with tops off.

Multiple free drinking water points are available inside and outside the stadium. Water stations are located on the Stadium Island and throughout the concourses at blocks 103–104, 112–113, 117, 120, 125, 127, 133, 137, 143, 145, 150, 156, 201 and 215, as well as at doors 5, 11, 14, and 16, and in the bowl at 105, 110, 113, 136, and 142. A water point is also available at Riverside East near the AMO red slide and public toilets.
