Strictly Star Ross King Joins Will Young for Cinderella Panto

Strictly Come Dancing star Ross King has revealed he will join pop icon Will Young in a new pantomime production of Cinderella. The announcement was made during Wednesday's episode of Lorraine, where King appeared in the London studio ahead of Wimbledon.

Presenter Lorraine Kelly teased the collaboration, saying: "You have teamed up with Will Young for something very, very special. I would never have put the two of you together necessarily but it is for something super!"

King confirmed: "I know, it is... pantomime! So last year I came back, I was back with Rylan over at Southend and then this year we're going to be at Plymouth so I'm heading up to Plymouth next week for the press call with Will Young for Cinderella again. So I can't wait!" King will reprise his role as Buttons.

Pantomime Details and Previous Projects

Earlier this year, Theatre Royal Plymouth and Crossroads Pantomimes announced that Will Young, 47, will take centre stage as The Fairy Godfather in this year's production of Cinderella. The show runs from Friday 4 December 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027.

King, who typically appears as the showbiz correspondent from Los Angeles, joined Lorraine in the studio. Kelly recalled attending his previous pantomime: "We all went as a work outing to see you, and it was just the best night. It was the best night. It was great fun." She noted the early planning required for such a large-scale production.

Ross King's Strictly Journey

King participated in Strictly Come Dancing in 2025, partnered with professional dancer Jowita Przystal. The pair were the second couple eliminated from the BBC One series. Will Young also has a history with Strictly, having competed in 2016 before withdrawing mid-competition for personal reasons.

Lorraine airs weekdays at 9:30am on ITV and ITVX.
