Nobody's Fool Contestant Reveals 'Insane' Filming Experience on ITV Show
Nobody's Fool Star: Filming Was 'Insane' on ITV Show

Clairvoyant Billy, a contestant on ITV's new reality gameshow Nobody's Fool, has described the filming experience as 'insane', revealing that cast members were led around in masks and had towels over their heads to avoid press attention.

Filming Process Described as 'Crazy'

Speaking exclusively at the National Film Awards, Billy shared his experience of being part of the show, which premiered earlier this year. 'It was my first foray into reality, the insanity of reality TV is just something to behold,' he said. 'We were led around wearing masks because they were setting up the country home where they filmed it in Kent, so we were led around in masks, we were taken out with towels over our head in case there was press there. The whole thing was insane.'

Psychological Mind Games at the Core

Nobody's Fool, hosted by Rivals co-stars Emily Atack and Danny Dyer, features 10 participants moving into a 'Smart House' to compete for a prize fund. Unlike traditional gameshows, the series focuses on psychological mind games and social manipulation, with players trying to convince others they are the most intelligent—whether true or not.

Contestant's Perspective on Reality TV

Billy, from Harrogate, noted that the casting process took seven months, but once filming began, it moved quickly. 'The casting process was insane, that took seven months, and then when it happened, it happened so quickly, so it was like seven months of ups and downs and maybes and this, suddenly you're there and it's like blindfolds, do this, that, the other.' He added that the hosts were also new to reality hosting, saying, 'Danny Dyer and Emily Atack, they're both new to hosting reality, they're both brilliant, and I think everybody was finding their feet.'

Billy's Experience and Future Plans

Reflecting on his time on the show, Billy said, 'I'd definitely do reality TV again, Nobody's Fool was fun, I thought it was really, really fun. I deserved to win, I didn't deserve to go out the way I did, but big mouth me!' He also admitted that he initially worried about the cameras, but quickly forgot they were there.

Hosts' Enthusiasm for the Show

Ahead of the premiere, Danny Dyer said, 'This is a blinder of a game show and unlike anything I've seen before. Emily and I had a brilliant time making it and much like the audience at home will be, we were kept guessing right until the very end.' Emily Atack added, 'It's so exciting to be part of something this new and fresh. The chance to work with Danny again was a no brainer for me. We had such a laugh. Can't wait for everyone to watch, it's an absolute must see.'

Nobody's Fool is available to watch on ITVX.
