The stage for the Mouth of the Tyne Festival is now in place on the clifftop at Tynemouth, with the four-day event set to begin on Thursday, July 9. Aerial images show the specially-constructed stage against the backdrop of Tynemouth Priory and Castle, ready to welcome thousands of music fans.
Economic Impact and Line-Up
The festival, organised by North Tyneside Council, has become a major summer attraction, drawing huge crowds to its coastal setting. Last year, it generated over £1 million for the local economy. Previous headliners have included The Proclaimers, Rick Astley, Jack Savoretti, Heather Small, and Sam Fender.
This year's line-up features Self Esteem and James as headliners. The festival opens on Thursday, July 9, with The K's headlining. Friday, July 10, sees the return of Ministry of Sound Classical, accompanied by special guests Ellie Sax and Utah Saints, which has already sold out. Self Esteem headlines on Saturday, July 11, with support from Heidi Curtis. The final day, Sunday, July 12, features James, known for hits such as "Sit Down" and "Laid," which is also sold out.
Ticket Information
Tickets remain available for The K's at £42.35 and for Self Esteem at £57.75, with some re-sale opportunities at £41.30. The festival runs from July 9 to July 12 at Tynemouth Priory and Castle.
