Netflix has unveiled I Will Find You, delivering yet another Harlan Coben thriller to screens. The story follows David Burroughs (portrayed by Sam Worthington), who has spent five years behind bars for his son's murder despite his innocence, having abandoned hope of discovering the real killer. When fresh evidence emerges suggesting his son may still be alive, David becomes obsessed with uncovering the truth and breaks out of prison. Where was I Will Find You on Netflix filmed?
I Will Find You adapts Harlan Coben's 2023 bestselling novel of the same title, with the eight-episode series launching today, Thursday, 18 June. Usually, Coben's Netflix adaptations are predominantly set and shot in the UK or elsewhere across Europe, but this production breaks from that pattern.
While Netflix's I Will Find You is set in New York, production actually occurred in Kingston and Toronto, Canada. Canada frequently doubles for New York in film and television, with cast and crew photographed at the University of Toronto Mississauga campus. Additional scenes were captured at Kingston Penitentiary, a decommissioned maximum security facility near the American border.
Some filming did occur stateside, however, with I Will Find You shooting around Central Park, Times Square, and Washington Square Park. Production reportedly commenced in April 2025, concluding by late August.
