The Voice UK Delayed Again Amid ITV Future Uncertainty

The Voice UK is reportedly facing another delay, with ITV pushing back the airing of its upcoming 14th series until autumn at the earliest. This means there will be a gap of more than two years between the pre-recorded auditions and the live finals, according to a source.

The insider told The Sun that the delay has sparked discussions about potentially 'resting' the show after the next series airs. 'People are now openly talking about The Voice being rested once its upcoming 14th series airs. For now, ITV are insisting the long-awaited series will air, but it isn’t exactly a good look,' the source said.

The programme, which originally aired on the BBC from 2012 to 2016 before moving to ITV, has featured a high-calibre of coaches over the years, including will.i.am and Sir Tom Jones since its inception. The most recent panel also included LeAnn Rimes, Tom Fletcher, and Danny Jones, with Emma Willis hosting.

For the upcoming series, former Destiny's Child star Kelly Rowland will join the panel. The show's executive producer, Moira Ross, who has worked on five series of The Voice, recently spoke about her experience, describing Sir Tom Jones as 'the ultimate professional' and will.i.am as 'a lot of fun' with 'endless bags of ideas'.

The Voice last aired in 2024, with winner AVA releasing the single 'The Long and Winding Road'. Other notable winners include Leanne Mitchell and Kevin Simm, while BRIT Award-winner Becky Hill also began her career on the show.
