The Witcher season 3 volume 2 has landed on Netflix, marking Henry Cavill's final episodes as Geralt of Rivia before Liam Hemsworth takes over in season 4. The season ends with several key plot developments, including the fate of Ciri, Yennefer, and the tragic death of Tissaia.
In the finale, Geralt is gravely wounded after a fight with Vilgefortz and is cared for by dryads. Despite his injuries, he insists on searching for the missing Ciri, aided by Jaskier and the dryad Milva. Yennefer learns that Vilgefortz is taking Ciri to Emhyr, the White Flame, and vows to intercept her before she reaches Nilfgaard.
Yennefer and other sorceresses discover the remains of girls taken by Vilgefortz and work to restore them to human form for burial. Meanwhile, Francesca and Fringilla propose a deal with Emhyr to return to Cintra in exchange for the elves having a home, but Emhyr refuses to allow the Elven army to accompany them.
King Vizimir threatens Dijkstra over broken promises, targeting Philippa. In a devastating turn, Tissaia takes her own life after feeling responsible for the deaths of many. Actress MyAnna Buring explained that Tissaia felt she could no longer help and saw no future for herself.
Yennefer informs Geralt of Ciri's path to Nilfgaard and heals him for the journey ahead. Radovid returns home to his brother Vizimir, while Dijkstra turns a knife on Philippa but ultimately spares her. The season ends with Geralt and Jaskier setting off, leaving fans to await Hemsworth's debut in season 4.
