The BBC has unveiled its Christmas 2025 TV and iPlayer schedule, promising a fortnight of magical moments for all the family. The line-up includes specials of beloved programmes, new dramas, comedy, natural history, and blockbuster movies, alongside arts, documentary, music, and religious programming.
Highlights include an animated adaptation of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler's 'The Scarecrows' Wedding', featuring voice talent Rob Brydon, Jessie Buckley, Domhnall Gleeson, and narrated by Sophie Okonedo. Tom Hiddleston returns in the second series of 'The Night Manager', while 'Amandaland' welcomes Jennifer Saunders as Joanna Lumley's on-screen sister. 'Call the Midwife' airs two festive episodes, and 'EastEnders' sees characters confronted by ghosts of the past.
In 'Beyond Paradise' and 'Death in Paradise' Christmas specials, Adrian Edmondson and Josie Lawrence guest star. 'Strictly Come Dancing' returns with a Christmas special, and Michael McIntyre's 'Christmas Wheel' spins celebrities into festive fun. Sir David Attenborough presents 'Wild London', exploring the capital's wildlife.
Comedy highlights include 'Mammoth', 'Two Doors Down', 'Here We Go: Our New Year’s Fireworks Fantasaganza', new series 'Shedites', and two specials of 'Mrs Brown’s Boys'. 'Stuffed' follows a multi-faith family on a trip to Lapland, and 'The Traitors' returns with Claudia Winkleman for a new civilian series.
