Elisabeth Moss's 'Imperfect Women' Thriller Premieres on Apple TV

Apple TV's latest psychological thriller, 'Imperfect Women', has captivated viewers since its two-episode debut on Wednesday. The eight-part series, based on Araminta Hall's novel, follows three fortysomething best friends—Eleanor (Kerry Washington), Mary (Elisabeth Moss), and Nancy (Kate Mara)—whose lives are shattered when Nancy is murdered, uncovering scandalous secrets.

The series, created by Annie Weisman of 'Desperate Housewives' and 'Physical' fame, has been described as a 'familiar yet twisty Apple TV whodunnit' by HELLO!'s TV writer Abby Allen in a 3.5-star review. Viewers have taken to social media to express their addiction, with one calling it 'just scandalous' and another saying they were 'hooked off the 1st episode'.

Critics have offered mixed reviews. The Guardian gave it three stars, calling it an 'overwritten, far-fetched, glossy but derivative murder mystery', while The Times awarded two stars, likening it to 'a glossy soap'. Despite this, the show's glossy, escapist drama reminiscent of 'Big Little Lies' has found an audience.
