Eamonn Holmes and Katie Alexander's relationship status amid 'move out'
Eamonn Holmes and Katie Alexander relationship status update

Eamonn Holmes's two-year relationship with Katie Alexander has taken another turn amid reports that she has 'moved out' of their home.

The GB News presenter, 66, and his ex-wife Ruth Langsford announced their separation in May 2024 after 14 years of marriage and 27 years together. Months later, Holmes sparked a relationship with the 45-year-old mum-of-three, with the pair spotted on a Mediterranean holiday together.

Relationship timeline and background

When the couple first went public, reports emerged that they had been in touch over social media for up to 12 years prior, with sources describing a 'flirty back and forth'. An insider told The Sun at the time: 'He and Katie had a real connection, and it blossomed into something more.'

Katie, who is understood to have previously worked as a shop assistant and a therapist, has been in two long-term relationships. Her first was with coach driver Michael Devine, which began when she was 19 and he was 59; they share a now 24-year-old child together.

Speaking to the Daily Mail in 2024, Michael said: 'We've been split up for a lot of years now. I do see Katie now and again, but she is down in London. There are no hard feelings whatsoever towards Katie, she's a nice woman, she really is. I wish her well. Absolutely brilliant, is Katie.'

Move out reports and current status

Katie later married bar owner George Alexandar, with whom she shares two daughters; the couple separated in 2022. He confirmed that Eamonn and Katie had been social media friends for years, telling OK! Magazine: 'She was not swooning over him like she was George Clooney, but she liked being on social media, and one day said she'd had a reply from him. She'd commented on one of his posts, and Eamonn got in touch. I must admit I laughed it off.'

Since getting together, Katie was splitting her time between her West Yorkshire home and Eamonn's £1.3million Surrey home until recently. In April, the former This Morning presenter suffered a stroke and has been hospitalised since as he privately recovers.

Although Katie has reportedly moved out, insiders claim she has not broken up with the TV personality. A source told The Sun on Sunday: 'Katie is still very much together with Eamonn and in love, but she's moved out of the flat. It's an incredibly sad situation — she loved it there, and the time they spent together making it home.'

'Katie has been Eamonn's rock and lifeline since he fell ill. She's willing him to get back to full fitness and get their lives back on track.'
