Wayne Rooney has addressed speculation that he could follow his wife Coleen into the I'm A Celebrity jungle, offering a five-word hint during a television appearance.
The former Manchester United player and his wife, fashion designer Coleen Rooney, appeared on This Morning to discuss their new Disney Plus docuseries The Real Rooneys, which launched on Thursday, September 24.
The series follows the couple and their four sons over the past year, giving viewers a look at their family life.
Five-word response
Host Ben Shephard pressed Wayne on the rumours, noting Coleen's experience on the show and joking about his readiness for the jungle's famous shower scene.
Wayne replied: "I've been asked all the time as well and there's been rumours for the past few years and there is again this year," before adding the five-word hint: "Have to wait and see."
When hosts Shephard and Cat Deeley joked about his "vague" answer, Wayne added: "I always like a challenge, life's a challenge."
Coleen's jungle history
Coleen took part in ITV's I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! in 2024, finishing as runner-up behind McFly's Danny Jones.
Other names linked to the 2026 series include Kaiser Chiefs' Ricky Wilson, Big Brother host AJ Odudu, Little Mix's Jesy Nelson and former Love Islander Olivia Attwood.

The Real Rooneys is now streaming on Disney Plus, with the first eight episodes available. Two "special episodes" are due to follow on Thursday, October 1, with further details yet to be revealed.
