Traitors Star Required BBC Intervention After Final Betrayal

A participant in this year's series of The Traitors needed intervention from BBC producers after an angry outburst following his elimination in the dramatic finale.

Faithful Jack Butler reached the final stage before being betrayed by Traitors Rachel Duffy and Stephen Libby – the latter being someone Jack had considered his most trusted companion. Their choice denied him the £95,750 jackpot and sparked a heated response away from the cameras.

Jack told The Mail on Sunday: 'The first ten minutes after it happened, I was absolutely steaming. I was so angry and I got pulled into a room with the producers and I was calmed down a little bit.' He added that Stephen's convincing performance made the betrayal difficult to digest, but acknowledged both Traitors 'were phenomenal' and deserved the win.

Although he didn't win the cash, Jack still proposed to his girlfriend Kay in Santorini in July, about two months after filming. He revealed the proposal almost went wrong due to severe motion sickness, but eventually went perfectly. Jack said his fellow contestants would all receive invitations to the wedding.
