Davina McCall was forced to give two siblings tragic news during the latest episode of Long Lost Family: Born Without a Trace. The ITV show aims to reunite biological families who have been split up over the years.
Last night’s episode (August 24) introduced viewers to Natasha Carr, who was abandoned in a toilet at St. Thomas’ Hospital in 1989, at just a week old. Natasha originally appeared on the show in 2018, when she was successfully reunited with her full sister Lee-Ann after three years of searching. Lee-Ann was also found in the staff toilets at St. James’ Hospital when she was a few days old.
Sisters Reunited in 2022
The sisters were finally reunited in 2022. Now the show has issued an update on the family in Long Lost Family: What Happened Next. Davina was forced to tell the sisters that their biological father had sadly died a few years before the show aired, off-camera.
She said on the programme: “I'm on my way to give Natasha and Lee-Ann major information; sadly, their birth father has died, which we've told them away from the cameras.”
Father's Background and Death
The women’s father had been brought up in Jamaica until he was 14 years old. He sadly died from cancer.
There was good news coming, however, as their birth mother was revealed to still be alive and “would really like the chance to meet them and to start building a relationship”. It was also confirmed that she had more children.
Meeting the Birth Mother
Towards the end of the episode, Natasha confirmed she had successfully met up with her mother, while Lee-Ann said she needed more time to come to terms with what she’d discovered.
