Sadie King (Patsy Kensit) has no intention of leaving the Emmerdale village empty-handed. While trying to track down Jimmy King's (Nick Miles) hidden money, Sadie feigned a friendship with Ruby Miligan (Beth Cordingly), which allowed her to get close enough to Caleb (William Ash) to have a little flirt. In upcoming episodes, it becomes clear that Caleb now seems to be the new prize.
Joe Tate's revenge plot
Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) is still battling his utter hatred for the Depot owner and his wife and is not done plotting their demise. Sure, his plot to bury Ruby alive in a coffin was foiled, but he was just warming up. He's also an emotional mess, which makes him far more dangerous than the Milligans are giving him credit for. He's turned to alcohol to cope with the loss of Dawn (Olivia Bromley) and to block out his decision to give up his baby.
After a drinking session, Joe tries to drive. He's stopped by Thea (Chelsea Edge), who wins a stand-off with him and takes him back to Home Farm, where Kim is grateful for her intervention, but there are ulterior motives. Not that Joe is aware of any of that.
Sadie's seduction plan
He gets right back onto his scheme when he sobers up and recruits Sadie, who is only too keen to help him destroy Caleb and Ruby. She's decided she wants Caleb for herself and is only too happy to help Joe ruin them. He tasks her with spying on them in the hope of obtaining evidence that he can use against them. Sadie has another idea – she thinks she can seduce Caleb and destroy them from the inside out. Joe warns her Caleb and Ruby are too savvy and solid for that, but she's ever the optimist and backs herself.
Sadie goes in on the fake friendship angle to get close to Ruby, and a drinking game helps to reveal some secrets. Cain (Jeff Hordley) has the situation sussed though, having had some lived experience, and warns Caleb that Sadie will destroy him. Caleb is too cocksure to listen and laughs it off, but he really should trust his brother's judgement on this one.
Producer's warning
Emmerdale producer Sophie Roper said: 'Sadie King is a force to be reckoned with, but Caleb and Ruby are one of Emmerdale's most powerful couples, they have been through so much together and have only got stronger.'
'Joe recruiting Sadie does, however, create a dangerous dynamic, and viewers will hopefully be shouting at their screens to warn Caleb of the dangers that lie ahead.'
