In the lead-up to a dramatic week where lives will change forever, Dawn plans to jilt her fiancé, Joe, on their wedding day and leave the village forever with her ex, Billy. Wedding Day Plans Unravel
Over recent weeks, viewers have been waiting for Dawn and Joe Tate's wedding, with producer Laura Shaw promising it won't be one to forget, adding that it will affect lives for years to come. Many hope Joe will finally get his comeuppance after years of mind games and deceit, with Dawn planning to escape for good with ex-husband Billy Fletcher.
On Monday (August 24), the morning of the set-to-be-disastrous wedding, Graham was suspicious about how the day was playing out while trying to hide his fears from Joe. Graham's attempts to get answers from Lucas paid off when he accidentally revealed more about the planned escape.
Graham Confronts Dawn
At Home Farm Stables, Dawn was scrambling to get away when Graham discovered her putting luggage in the car and speaking to Billy on the phone. Realising something was wrong, he confronted her and tried to convince her to reconsider her plans to leave Joe. Graham also began questioning Billy's version of events, particularly how he could have witnessed Joe attacking him from behind.
His efforts to stop Dawn came to nothing, however, and when he grabbed her keys, she struck him with a shovel, leaving him unconscious. By the time Graham woke up, he was bound inside the stable.
Caleb Reveals the Truth
Elsewhere, Caleb was enjoying the prospect of Joe's downfall after handing Billy his payment. But Joe's smug celebration at the Woolpack, where he bought drinks for everyone and toasted to "happy endings", proved too much for him. Despite Ruby trying to calm him down, Caleb finally snapped and told Joe what Dawn and Billy were planning, taunting him with the revelation that his actions had brought his entire world crashing down.
As the week unfolds, viewers will watch as the drama continues. How will Joe react to Caleb's revelation? Will Dawn confront Billy over his lies about the attack?
There will be no episode on Tuesday (August 25) to make way for coverage of the EFL Carabao Cup game instead. Nottingham Forest will take on Leeds United in the cup clash with coverage starting at 7.30pm and kick-off at 8pm, therefore replacing the usual 'soap power hour' from 8pm to 9pm. To make up for the change, a new episode of the ITV soaps will air this Sunday (August 30), with Emmerdale starting at its usual time of 8pm, followed by Corrie at 8.30pm.
