Mikey Dalton and Grace Adams-Short, who met on Big Brother in 2006, remain the only surviving couple from the original series, 20 years after they first met in the house. The pair, now aged 43 and 40, got engaged just four months after the show ended and have now been married for 17 years.
They met on the seventh series of the reality show, which was won by Pete Bennett, who took home the £100,000 cash prize. Their romance moved quickly, with Mikey proposing to Grace four months after the programme concluded.
Engagement and early days
Speaking at the time, Grace told The Herald: "We got engaged after four months, which may sound quick but we got to know each other so fast on the show, so it felt right for us."
During an interview on This Morning in 2023, she added: "I didn't have any idea that I was going to meet my life partner, my husband, absolutely not. We just thought it was going to be a fun summer. I was 20 years old, it was kind of like a gap year!"
Mikey admitted he was immediately attracted to her, saying: "I was lusting after her, I still remember the outfit you wore going in and the boots and everything. I was lovestruck when I seen her!"
Growing family and careers
The couple are now parents to four children: Georgina, born in 2012, son Spencer three years later, and then Allegra and Atticus. They live in Liverpool.
Grace, who works as a Content and Marketing Executive for her company Gas Creative, recently shared her gratitude for the support she has received. She wrote: "Feeling so grateful for all the support for what I’ve been achieving lately in the world of content, presenting and creative direction."
She added: "@gas__creative isn’t even a year old, and after another busy day filming driving home I’ve got a notification, I’ve just hit 35K! Thank you to everyone who watches, likes, shares and supports what I do — it genuinely means so much.
"I feel so hungry for what’s next and everything I’m about to achieve. I’m incredibly lucky to be surrounded by amazing people and the most supportive family." Mikey runs his own advertising business.
