The Sex Pistols, featuring Frank Carter on vocals, have announced a series of UK headline shows for summer 2026 to mark 50 years since their iconic performances at Manchester's Lesser Free Trade Hall in 1976. The band will be supported by The Undertones, The Stranglers, John Cooper Clarke and Panic Shack across four dates in July and August.
The tour begins on July 11 at The Piece Hall in Halifax, followed by Manchester's Castlefield Bowl on July 12. In August, the band will play Cardiff Castle on August 1 and Scarborough Open Air Theatre on August 2. The Undertones will support on all dates, with John Cooper Clarke joining in Manchester, The Stranglers in Cardiff and Scarborough, and Panic Shack in Halifax and Cardiff.
Tickets go on general sale on Friday, November 28, via the band's website and other outlets. The announcement follows news that the Sex Pistols will also perform at the Isle of Wight Festival in June 2026, alongside European festival dates including Nova Rock in Austria and Hills of Rock in Bulgaria.
The current lineup includes guitarist Steve Jones, drummer Paul Cook and bassist Glen Matlock, with Frank Carter replacing original singer John Lydon, who last performed with the band in 2008. Matlock praised Carter's energy, noting he was recommended by his son. Regarding potential new music, Matlock said the band has ideas but is currently too busy to work them out.
