Queen drummer Roger Taylor has released a new love song, I See You Now, from his upcoming solo album. The track debuted on Vernon Kay’s BBC Radio 2 show and is accompanied by a music video.
Inspiration Behind the Song
The 77-year-old musician explained the song's meaning: “It's a love song, it's really about my wife. We've been together for quite some time, and I think when you really get to know someone, at first you really don't see everything about them, but when you really get to know someone, it's ‘oh, I see you now, that's it.”
The opening lyrics include: “We’ve been together, for some time now, through all kinds of weather, but we’re still dreamin’”.
Album Release and Tour
I See You Now follows the first single, Come on Summer (It’s Party Time), released in June. The album, Violence Insane in and Beautiful World, is Taylor's first solo record in five years and is set for release on September 18. UK tour dates have also been announced.
