Quentin Tarantino's favourite movie of all time is on television this weekend. The acclaimed director has previously declared Steven Spielberg's 1975 thriller Jaws the greatest movie ever made.
Speaking on CinemaBlend's ReelBlend podcast, Tarantino said: "I think Jaws is the greatest movie ever made. Maybe not the greatest film. But it's the greatest movie ever made. And then there are other movies that can get in its rarefied air. But as far as a movie, there's no making it better than Jaws. There's no 'better' than Jaws. It is the best movie ever made. And it shows how badly timed most movies made before Jaws were."
Tarantino's film knowledge
The 59-year-old filmmaker is known for his deep knowledge of cinema and often shares his thoughts on classic films. He co-hosts The Video Archives Podcast with Roger Avary, with whom he co-wrote the Oscar-winning screenplay for Pulp Fiction.
