Zendaya appears to have dropped the most significant hint yet that she has married her longtime partner Tom Holland, as she offered her thoughts on what constitutes a "perfect marriage" during a recent interview. The 29-year-old actress, who has been romantically linked to the Spider-Man star since 2021, sparked widespread rumours earlier this month when she was photographed wearing a large, sparkly ring on that particular finger.
Stylist Fuels Speculation
The marriage rumours were initially ignited by Zendaya's longtime stylist, Law Roach, who publicly insisted the couple had secretly tied the knot. While neither Zendaya nor Tom Holland have officially confirmed or denied these claims, the actress has now added fuel to the fire during promotional activities for her new movie, The Drama, co-starring Robert Pattinson.
Defining the Perfect Marriage
During an interview with Views France, when asked what makes the perfect marriage, Zendaya took the lead in responding. "I don't know if there's any such thing as a perfect marriage," she began thoughtfully, "but I'd say like people who, and this is a corny answer, but seem like best friends."
She elaborated further, adding: "I think it's always nice to see two people that, I don't know, really like each other as well as love each other." Her co-star Robert Pattinson had little to add to her response, simply telling Zendaya: "That was a nice answer."
Wedding Party Preferences Revealed
Earlier in the week, while attending The Drama's premiere in Paris, Zendaya revealed who she would choose as bridesmaids if she were planning a wedding. Speaking to Gala France, she selected her Euphoria co-star Hunter Schafer, 27, as someone she knows personally who would take on the special role.
When asked to choose a celebrity bridesmaid she doesn't know personally, Zendaya didn't hesitate: "I would choose Beyonce, girl what'cha doin'." She humorously added about selecting best men: "And for best men, that wouldn't really be my choice, would it? I don't have any say."
Addressing Fake AI Wedding Images
The couple has faced persistent speculation about their relationship status, including fake AI-generated images of their supposed nuptials that circulated online. Zendaya admitted on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that these images had even fooled members of her own family.
She was forced to clarify that the images were "not real" and shared an edited wedding clip from The Drama to "clear the confusion." The clip featured Tom Holland's face pasted over Robert Pattinson's body in a scene from the film. After showing the video, she joked: "that was real. I was there."
Relationship Timeline and Privacy
Zendaya and Tom Holland, both 29, have been dating since 2021, though rumours about their relationship first surfaced back in 2016. The couple confirmed their engagement in September 2025 when Tom referred to Zendaya as his "fiancée" during a public panel event.
Both actors have consistently emphasized their desire to keep their relationship private. Tom Holland told The Hollywood Reporter: "Our relationship is something that we are incredibly protective of and we want to keep as sacred as possible. We don't think that we owe it to anyone, it's our thing, and it has nothing to do with our careers."
Zendaya echoed similar sentiments in an interview with GQ, declaring the couple's relationship "sacred" and expressing her wish to maintain its privacy. "I think loving someone is a sacred thing and a special thing and something that you want to deal with and go through and experience and enjoy amongst the two people that love each other," she explained.
Throughout her current promotional tour for The Drama in Paris, Tom Holland has been by her side, further fueling speculation about their relationship status while the couple continues to navigate public interest in their private lives.
