Amelia Lily Marries Eddie McQueen in Lavish Wynyard Hall Wedding
X Factor's Amelia Lily weds Eddie McQueen in lavish ceremony

Reality television star and singer Amelia Lily has officially tied the knot with her long-term partner, Eddie McQueen, in a lavish church ceremony. The couple exchanged vows in front of family and friends in a grand celebration over the weekend.

A Stately Hall for a Star-Studded Day

The wedding took place on Saturday at the historic Wynyard Hall in Stockton-on-Tees. The venue is an 18th century, Grade II listed estate, providing a picturesque and opulent backdrop for the special occasion. Lily, who rose to fame as a contestant on Simon Cowell's The X Factor in 2011, looked breathtaking in a traditional white lace bridal gown featuring a distinctive overlay.

As the newlyweds emerged from the venue, they were photographed arm-in-arm, marking the start of their married life together. The groom, Eddie McQueen, is the son of the late Scottish football legend, Gordon McQueen.

Family, Feasting, and Festivities

Following the heartfelt service, guests were treated to an exquisite three-course wedding breakfast. The menu began with smoked chicken and parmesan arancini, followed by a sumptuous main of 16-hour braised featherblade steak, served with mashed potato and tenderstem broccoli.

The celebrations continued with a musical performance from the bride herself. Amelia Lily, who finished in third place on her series of The X Factor, took to the stage with a live band to entertain her wedding guests. She also shared moments from the day on Instagram, including a selfie with her new sister-in-law, sports presenter Hayley McQueen.

A Union of Two Footballing Families

The marriage unites two families with deep roots in football. Eddie's father, Gordon McQueen, was a defensive stalwart for clubs including Leeds United and Manchester United and earned 30 caps for Scotland. He tragically passed away in 2023 at the age of 70.

On the bride's side, her father, John Barry Oliver, is a former manager of Northern League division two club Billingham Town. The couple, both 31, first met in 2023 and welcomed their first child, a daughter named Pearl McQueen, in May of last year following a secret pregnancy.

Announcing Pearl's birth at the time, Lily wrote on social media: "The best secret we’ve ever kept… Myself and Eddie would like to introduce our daughter. Pearl McQueen. Born 23.05.25." The wedding marks the latest joyful chapter for the growing family.
