Netflix has confirmed the release date for a brand new true crime series exploring real-life neighbour disputes. Titled 'Worst Neighbor Ever,' the show will launch its debut season on 1 July at 8am, delving into neighbourly conflicts that frequently spiralled into intimidation and violence.
The series comes from the same production team behind 'Worst Ex Ever,' which recently dropped its second season, alongside 'Worst Roommate Ever.' Combining bodycam footage from emergency services with harrowing victim interviews and dramatic re-enactments, the show promises a gripping look at how ordinary disagreements can turn fatal.
An official synopsis reads: 'You think you know your neighbors? Think again. This new series features firsthand accounts of violence, intimidation, and harassment that are more shocking than ever. Through compelling testimonials, startling body cam footage, and animated reenactments, Worst Neighbor Ever proves the people next door aren't just a nuisance - they're lethal.'
Teasing the announcement on Instagram, producer Jason Blum wrote: 'If you want to appreciate your neighbor, watch just how bad it can be! Worst Neighbor Ever comes to @netflix July 1.' Enthusiastic responses flooded in from eager viewers, with one writing: 'I'm so excited.' Another commented: 'I can't get enough of this entire series.' A third added: 'When you see the documentary is made by blumhouse. You know it's going to be good.'
The streaming platform has unveiled a gripping trailer for the forthcoming series, concluding with the chilling line: 'You never really know who your neighbours are.' The preview hints that audiences will encounter everything from prolonged harassment and intensifying feuds to violent retribution and murder enquiries, where apparently ordinary disagreements rapidly turn fatal, reports the Mirror.
In the comments section, one viewer pleaded: 'Netflix pls never stop making these types of documentaries.' Another agreed: 'This stuff is addictive! Keep the true crime docs coming!'.
The 'Worst Ever' series has proved enormously popular with audiences over the years, with many commending its distinctive approach. One person previously posted on Reddit: 'The Worst _______ Ever is by far the best true crime format I've ever seen.' They added they were particularly impressed by earlier instalments, 'especially the premier episode of Worst Roommate.'
The user went on: 'I'm someone that's always been a binder of true crime and feel like Dateline episodes and stuff have just gotten increasingly tired and boring. This format is the answer for the genre. This is the best and most compelling s*** I've ever seen. Let's please do whatever we can to get more of this.'
Another enthusiast responded: 'New one coming soon, Worst Neighbour ever, saw it last night and loved the others so will defo be watching. Out on 1st July.' A third simply declared: 'I love them all.'
Worst Neighbor Ever premieres on Netflix on July 1.
