Will Arnett Reveals Comedian Kicked Off SmartLess Podcast After Being an 'A******'

Will Arnett has revealed that a famous comedian was removed from his SmartLess podcast after just 10 minutes due to rude behaviour. Arnett, who hosts the show alongside Jason Bateman and Sean Hayes, made the disclosure during an appearance on Romesh Ranganathan's podcast.

Arnett said the unnamed male comedian was 'a f**king rank a**hole' and that the trio decided to cut the interview short. 'We said thanks so much and ditched him,' Arnett recalled, adding that listeners would be 'blown away' by the identity of the guest. He jokingly suggested it was Bill Cosby.

In addition, Arnett mentioned a female comedian who requested that her episode not be aired because she was worried about her career trajectory. 'She asked us not to air her episode at all,' Arnett said, noting that the decision cost them money and effort. He added that they reassured her she was good, and time proved them right.

Arnett also touched on a past incident involving Matthew McConaughey, where Bateman had a 'meltdown' due to technical difficulties and threatened to cancel the episode, unaware that McConaughey was already on the line. The actor's laughter only worsened Bateman's frustration, leading him to 'rage quit' the call.
