Royal Expert Reveals Why William and Kate Are More Likeable Than Harry and Meghan
Why William and Kate Are More Likeable Than Harry and Meghan

Prince William and Princess Catherine are being praised for their public appearances and engagements with the media compared to those of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, according to a royal expert. This comes as Harry and Meghan made headlines with what is being called their "quasi-royal" tour of Australia, where they carried out a series of public engagements and speeches.

Public opinion has shifted against the Sussexes, who have faced criticism for making their lives public after campaigning for privacy. Two PR experts recently analyzed the strategies of both couples, explaining why William and Kate's approach is more effective.

Strategic Differences in Public Relations

Jackie Vause, co-host of the podcast Where Pop Culture Meets PR, explained that William and Catherine's office has employed a "very clever" strategy. "What they're doing is levelling up from the very obvious 'pick me' stories coming out of Montecito," she said.

She added, "I think the office has been aware of these quasi-royal tours from the Markles and thought, okay, how are we going to counter that? You don't want to do something too obvious. You want to do something aligned with your values, vision, and mission. I can see it very clearly."

Cadence of Stories

Vause noted a "beautiful cadence" in the stories being seeded with beautiful visuals. "This is what real royalty is all about: the overall message. It's so, so clever," she said.

Criticism of Harry and Meghan

Harry and Meghan's recent public appearances have drawn criticism, with some social media users calling them "bad actors." One Reddit user commented, "Their acting is just that bad, and people are sick of their over-the-top performative expressions and empty words. The most ironic part is that acting is Meghan's craft. She just can't act, and neither can Harry."

Another user added, "Actually, their biggest problem is that they aren't genuine. As they aren't genuine, they could pretend to be - which leads us to the OP. In addition to the bad acting, they can't keep up the façade - so they're not method actors, like some of the better actors."
