Jack Whitehall has revealed he received a warning about making jokes about Donald Trump ahead of hosting the Brit Awards 2026. The comedian, returning for his sixth year, will front the ceremony from Manchester for the first time.
Whitehall told The Heart Radio Breakfast Show that American stars often take issue with his punchlines. He said a lawyer forwarded an email from ITV reminding him that Trump is “very litigious”.
The host also disclosed that he creates a fake script for rehearsals to prevent American guests from altering their introductions. He claimed Jared Leto deleted his intro at a previous ceremony, replacing it with self-praising remarks.
Whitehall added that Harry Styles’ team rejected a joke involving the singer living in a hut and being shaved. The Brits will feature performances from Harry Styles, Olivia Dean, Mark Ronson, Raye, and a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne by Robbie Williams.
