Kylie Jenner faced backlash for wearing a dress that appeared white to the wedding of Lauren Sanchez and Jeff Bezos in Venice, Italy, on Friday. The reality star's custom gown by Turkish-British designer Dilara Findikoglu was described as 'icy blue' but looked white in photos, breaking traditional wedding guest etiquette.
Social media users criticised Jenner for her choice, with one writing on X: 'I don't get how she's not embarrassed because no other woman is wearing white or anything close to it from what I've seen.' Another said: 'This family just refuses to dress appropriate to an event.'
Others defended Jenner, noting the dress was officially blue. The wedding, held on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore, featured 200 A-list guests including Oprah Winfrey, Kim Kardashian, and Leonardo DiCaprio. Sanchez wore a Dolce & Gabbana mermaid gown with a high-necked silhouette and tulle veil.
Sanchez and Bezos, who got engaged in May 2023, celebrated over three days. Sanchez has since changed her Instagram name to Lauren Sanchez Bezos.
