Vogue Williams and Spencer Matthews appeared more loved-up than ever as they packed on the public displays of affection during their lavish family getaway to St Barts on Friday. The former model, aged 40, and her husband, the 37-year-old ex-Made in Chelsea star, have jetted off for a spring break on the Caribbean island with their three children: Theodore, seven, Gigi, five, and Otto, three.
Beachside Romance and Family Fun
Vogue and Spencer, who tied the knot in 2018, were seen sharing a sweet kiss while topping up their tans on the beach. The family enjoyed a cooling dip in the clear ocean before relaxing on a small boat, with Spencer showcasing his athletic skills by performing backflips into the water. Vogue looked sensational in a tiny black bikini, shielding herself from the scorching sun with a baseball cap and sunglasses.
Dispelling Rumours of Marital Strain
This idyllic scene comes after Vogue played down claims of difficulties within their relationship in November. The couple had failed to publicly mark their seventh wedding anniversary, sparking speculation. This followed Spencer's decision to step down from their joint podcast, Spencer & Vogue, to focus on his own project, Untapped.
Speaking to The Sun, Vogue insisted she and her husband are 'happy' and their marriage is secure. She explained that she has reached a point in her life where only 'their truth' matters, stressing they remain a very happy couple. 'When he left our podcast, everyone was like, "What's going on?"' she recalled.
Addressing Baseless Gossip
Vogue also admitted to worrying about their children hearing 'baseless and cruel' gossip at school. She had previously addressed the claims in an Instagram post, telling followers: 'It’s with great sadness that I have to let you know that Spen and I are NOT breaking up! I usually avoid addressing baseless and cruel rumours, but this just keeps coming up.'
She added that it was disappointing to see this narrative pushed almost daily when untrue, and she didn't want her children hearing lies in the playground. 'We’re very happily married and in love,' she affirmed.
Parenting and Relationship Balance
The devoted parents played with their children in the water, floating on lilos, with Spencer later swinging son Otto high into the air. Meanwhile, Spencer displayed his gym-honed physique and rock-hard abs while going shirtless in swimming trunks.
Vogue also recently admitted on The Netmums Podcast that the pair struggle to have child-free time together. She discussed the importance of nurturing relationships outside of parenting, noting they try to do a couple of weekends a year alone. 'We spend a massive amount of time with our kids, but you have to nurture your own relationship,' she explained.
However, she humorously recounted one such getaway where they ended up having a fight and not talking for a full day. 'I was like, "no this isn't how it is supposed to go!"' she said, highlighting the realities of maintaining a marriage amidst busy family life.
Despite past rumours, the St Barts getaway showcases a couple firmly in love, enjoying quality family time and reaffirming their commitment to each other and their children.
