Saturdays Star Vanessa White Welcomes First Child, Reveals Unique Name

Former Saturdays singer Vanessa White has given birth to her first child with husband DJ Emmanuel Lawal. The 35-year-old announced the arrival of her 'darling boy' on Instagram on Tuesday, sharing a photo of the newborn surrounded by balloons.

White revealed the baby's unusual name as Sage Remi-Bisaya Lawal. The couple married in a small ceremony at Hackney Town Hall just weeks before the birth, after getting engaged in November.

The singer's Saturdays bandmates were quick to offer congratulations. Mollie King wrote: 'Oh my love, just the best!! So happy for you!! He’s so lucky to have you as his mama.' Rochelle Humes commented on the baby's full head of hair, while Frankie Bridge and Una Healy also sent their best wishes.

White announced her engagement and pregnancy in a single social media post in November, after Lawal proposed during a weekend in the Cotswolds. The couple later married with just two witnesses, including their photographer.

Speaking to Vogue magazine, White recommended couples avoid large weddings, saying: 'It was so nice. I really do recommend people just going off and doing it on their own.' Lawal added that the pregnancy and Christmas rush prompted them to finally set a date.
