Tony Curran's Epic Fall During World Cup Celebrations Goes Viral
Tony Curran's Epic Fall at World Cup Party Goes Viral

Scottish actor Tony Curran has been making the most of the World Cup celebrations after Scotland won their first World Cup game in 30 years. However, a new social media clip shows the 56-year-old taking things a bit too far.

Dancing on Tables at the Fan Zone

Sharing a video on Instagram on June 15, Curran is seen proudly singing along to Loch Lomond while standing on a long table amidst a crowd of Scottish fans. Decked out in his kilt and football top, the actor waves his arms and jumps on the table.

The Epic Fall

His dismount from the table was not the most graceful. He stumbled off the edge and fell to the ground, bringing a man dressed in red down with him. Captioning the video, Curran wrote: "I may have had an ale!"

Fan Reactions

Many fans and friends commented on the video, sharing their amusement. Scottish composer Lorne Balfe wrote: "Epic fall … or an epic rise," to which Curran replied: "Down but Scots always rise… indeed pal!"

One fan commented: "Totally styled that out… no one even noticed!" Another wrote: "Thank Goodness you’re ok. It’s even funnier the third time. I’m sorry."

One person cheerfully added: "Love how you took someone else down as well! Sign of a great night!"

Karen Gillan Joins In

Curran's pal Karen Gillan reposted the clip on her Instagram story, adding the caption: "This might be my favourite I've ever seen." The Outlander star also wrote: "Don't try this at home kids," followed by a laughing emoji.

Fans were delighted to see the Scottish duo together, having worked together on Doctor Who over a decade ago when Curran played Vincent Van Gogh.

More Celebrations to Come

In another recent upload, Curran can be seen singing in the back of a car with Karen Gillan as they head to a match, belting out: "Here we go, Scotland's all over the world."

Both are set to appear in the new Jumanji film. With Scotland having two more group stage games, more shenanigans are likely to surface online.
