Tom Holland has officially confirmed that he is married to Zendaya, putting an end to months of speculation about their relationship status. The Spider-Man co-stars have been together for nearly a decade, and recent sightings of Zendaya wearing a gold wedding band fueled rumors of a secret wedding.
Confirmation in Esquire Interview
In an interview with Esquire, Holland, 30, addressed the situation after AI-generated images of their supposed wedding went viral, even fooling some family members. When asked about his grandmother mistakenly believing she was not invited, Holland clarified: "No, because they were all there." He added, "That's all you'll get on that."
Rare Insight into Their Relationship
Holland shared a rare glimpse into his bond with Zendaya, stating, "Our business can present very stressful situations and it's really nice to have a bedrock of a relationship that will stand the test of time." He emphasized their unique understanding of each other's lives, saying, "I found my person. She's my best friend, and I'm the happiest I ever have been when I'm with her."
First Impressions and Public Appearances
Recalling their first meeting on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016, Holland said he was "super excited" to work with her and remembered that Zendaya "smashed her audition out the park." The couple kept their romance private until confirming their relationship in November 2021, followed by an engagement last year.
Zendaya's stylist, Law Roach, had previously hinted at the wedding on a red carpet. Zendaya also addressed the fake AI wedding photos on Jimmy Kimmel's show, noting that many were fooled but avoiding direct confirmation of the marriage at that time.
