Former Westlife star Brian McFadden has stirred controversy with a resurfaced clip in which he makes a brutal joke about his ex-wife, Kerry Katona. The 46-year-old singer, currently touring with Boyzone's Keith Duffy as part of Boyzlife, quipped that he wore a white suit to their 2002 wedding just to annoy her.
In the clip, McFadden initially claimed they are on good terms, saying: 'It's ok, we're friends now, I follow her on Facebook.' He then joked about the difficulty of parking outside her house on Father's Day, adding: 'I have to park at the NCP and walk two miles... Of course I don't follow her on Facebook - Don't be ridiculous!'
Kerry's fans were quick to defend her, with comments calling the remarks 'disgusting' and accusing McFadden of having no role in raising their two daughters, Molly Marie, 25, and Lilly-Sue, 23. The couple divorced in 2006 after McFadden's infidelity, including cheating on his stag do hours before the wedding.
McFadden has since married twice more, currently to Danielle Parkinson, while Katona has also remarried twice and is dating personal trainer Paolo Margaglione after appearing on Celebs Go Dating.
