The Holiday Cast: Where Are They Now, 18 Years On

When The Holiday hit cinemas in 2006, it became an instant festive favourite, thanks to its star-studded cast and heartwarming transatlantic love story. Nearly two decades later, the leading stars have won prestigious awards, headlined blockbuster franchises, launched businesses, and started families.

Cameron Diaz, who played Amanda Woods, later voiced Princess Fiona in the Shrek series and starred in films like What Happens in Vegas and Bad Teacher. She wrote a health book that reached number two on the New York Times bestseller list, launched organic wine brand Avaline, and invested in health startups. After a hiatus from acting, she returned in Back in Action (2022) and will reprise her role as Fiona in Shrek 5 (2027). She married musician Benji Madden in 2015 and has two children.

Kate Winslet, who portrayed Iris Simpkins, won an Academy Award and BAFTA for The Reader and an Emmy for Mildred Pierce. She has since starred in Avatar: The Way of Water and HBO's The Regime. An advocate for autism awareness and environmental causes, she has three children.
