Tess Daly Spotted with Wedding Ring On in New York After Split from Vernon Kay
Tess Daly Keeps Wedding Ring On During New York Trip

Tess Daly has been spotted in New York with her wedding ring still firmly on her finger, despite having announced her separation from husband Vernon Kay last month. The former Strictly Come Dancing presenter was visiting her daughter Phoebe and kept the ring on display in several Instagram posts.

New York Visit

Tess posted a series of photos from the trip, captioning one set: "NYC with my best girls." In most pictures, she hid her hands, but in another post with the caption "Over and out NYC," her left hand was visible as she stood outside NBC studios. Wearing an all-white outfit, she pointed at the NBC sign, with her left hand hanging loosely by her side, revealing the ring.

Separation Announcement

The sighting comes after Tess and Vernon announced their amicable separation in a joint Instagram statement in May. The couple, married for 22 years and parents to daughters Phoebe and Amber, said: "After much consideration, and with a deep sense of care and respect for one another, we have made the decision to separate amicably." They emphasized that the decision was not easy but came from mutual understanding, and they remain committed to co-parenting.

Continued Friendship

Despite the split, Tess and Vernon appear to remain friends. Vernon commented on Tess's post: "What a few days [heart emoji] [fire emoji]." They were also seen together at Pub in the Park, drinking and dancing to Craig David, with Vernon also wearing his wedding ring. Tess has continued to wear her ring as well.

Career Changes

This period also marks a significant change in Tess's career. She stepped down from hosting Strictly Come Dancing alongside Claudia Winkleman after the last season, with their final episode airing on Christmas Day. The new hosts are Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe, and former pro dancer Johannes Radebe. The first three contestants for the upcoming series have been announced: EastEnders' Lacey Turner, Dani Dyer, and Eurovision star Delta Goodrem.
