Susanna Reid's Savage Dig at Katie Price's Husband on GMB

Susanna Reid made a savage dig at Katie Price's husband Lee Andrews live on air this morning. The Good Morning Britain host, 55, was less than impressed with the chat about Katie's husband Lee following his release from prison. Last month, he had meant to be on the show but failed to turn up.

During the entertainment segment, following Lee's return to social media after his prison stint, Richard discussed Katie's new documentary with Sky and how she said it should have been eight episodes not four as she 'always brings the drama'.

A frustrated Susanna told her colleague: 'I think my eyes just rolled out of my head.' Fans familiar with the whole story will know it all kicked off when Lee failed to board his flight to the UK for his joint Good Morning Britain interview with Katie.

From there, Katie had to attend alone and was quizzed on her romance with Lee, claims he had a travel ban and just why he hadn't made it to the sofa when he had been at the airport.

When asking the Foreign Office about Lee, the researching team were told by a spokesperson: 'We supported a British man who was detained in the UAE.' Ed then asked Katie directly if Lee had been arrested.

She hit back: 'No, I feel like they just said it to me in there [backstage] so I just said to Lee apparently a British man has been detained, can you confirm its not you?' and he's done a voice note back and said it's not him and sent laughing emojis.

Katie claimed Lee was at the airport and had been sending pictures and was on his way. Of course, he wasn't on his way and later was arrested - although he claims he was 'kidnapped' and 'tied up' before miraculously appearing in prison.

Yesterday, Lee broke his silence to say he was 'captured by men with assault rifles' who 'did slap me around a little bit'. Speaking to his followers, he said: 'Hi everyone, this is Lee. I've been missing now for several weeks. I can tell you I'm now safe and healthy and with my wife. I was taken close to the Hatta-Oman border [an entry and exit point to the UAE] by men at gunpoint and then I was captured by men with assault rifles.'

'They did slap me around a little bit, little s***s and I was hand-tied, shackled and also with a hood over my head. From there I was taken to a black site and I had no use of my phone and from what I know it was an extended arm of the National Guard and that's all I can reveal at the moment.'

'I have signed disclaimers now with state security and from there I was put into the system. At no point have I faced anything to do with fraud allegations or any criminal activities such as that.'
