Susan Boyle stuns with glam New York makeover

Susan Boyle has wowed her fans with a glam makeover after sharing a series of snaps while visiting New York. The 65-year-old posed for photos while sightseeing in the Big Apple, with her looks a far cry from those first seen on Britain's Got Talent in 2009.

A Transformed Image

Pre-fame SuBo has transformed her image since winning the ITV series and, during her time away from the music industry in recent years, appears to have aged backwards. Gone are the grey curls she sported in front of Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan all those years ago, replaced by blonde shoulder-length locks.

The singer has overhauled her wardrobe too, swapping old-fashioned dresses for a gilet, tight leggings and rose-tinted shades in NYC.

Back in America

"It's so lovely to be back in America!" Susan declared on Instagram on Tuesday (October 20). She added: "New York is beautiful at this time of year, and I've been enjoying the sights. Getting to catch up with some of you has made it all the more special."

Susan shared photos from the Empire Building, plus further images from across the Hudson River in Hoboken, New Jersey. It comes after she marked the beginning of her "new era" earlier this year, revealing she intends to return to music after a seven-year absence. Susan also went through somewhat of a rebranding as an influencer, launching her own range of merchandise including self-branded clothing and accessories.

Fan Reactions

"Love you Susan, you're an inspiration," one fan declared in response. A second person pleased: "Susan! Let me take you to lunch next time you're in Hoboken!" A third shared: "Hope you are having fun here in NYC!" While a fourth wrote: "Welcome back! Love and missed you. You look fabulous."
