Singer Freya Ridings appeared on Sunday Brunch on Channel 4, hosted by Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer, alongside Boyzone, Priya Kansara, Michael Ball, Celyn Jones and Anna Dimitriadis.
Freya, 32, rose to fame in 2017 with her hit 'Lost Without You', which reached the top ten on the UK Singles Chart. Her other hits include 'Castles', 'Ethereal' and 'Blackout'. In June 2023, she co-wrote the song 'Rise' with her husband Ewan J Phillips for the film Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken.
Viewers may be surprised to learn that Freya's father is actor Richard Ridings, 67, best known as the voice of Daddy Pig in Peppa Pig since 2004. Richard has also appeared in Fat Friends, The Pianist, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Common as Muck and Dickensian.
Richard has said he will continue voicing Daddy Pig 'until I lose my voice', adding: 'The scripts are superb. I'm a lucky man.' He avoids TV interviews as Daddy Pig to preserve the magic for children.
Speaking about his daughter, Richard revealed that his younger son is considering acting, and that he looks forward to watching Peppa Pig with any future grandchildren.
