Fans of Strictly Come Dancing have been left gobsmacked after discovering a video of professional dancer Lauren Oakley showcasing another hidden talent — singing.
The 35-year-old has been a staple on the BBC show for five years, partnering with celebrities such as Krishnan Guru-Murthy, JB Gill, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, and currently Graeme Hall. However, it appears her talents extend far beyond the dance floor.
Nine-Year-Old Video Surfaces Online
A YouTube video from nine years ago, recently shared on Reddit, reveals the BBC star performing a cover of Corinne Bailey Rae's hit Put Your Records On, reports Wales Online.
Sharing the video online, one fan wrote: "I never knew Lauren could sing! I just came across this video of Lauren singing Put Your Records On, and I genuinely had no idea that she could sing, so this was a pleasant surprise for me."
It wasn't long before others chimed in, expressing their astonishment at the clip. One viewer responded: "Adding her to my list of people I will hopefully recognise if they ever go on the Masked Singer. Singing and dancing talent like hers belongs in the West End, honestly. Strictly should feel lucky to have her."

Recent Strictly Performance
During the opening live episode of the BBC programme, broadcast on September 26, Lauren delivered a Cha Cha alongside Graeme Hall, securing a score of 24 from the panel and placing them fifth on the leaderboard.
Following his routine, judge Craig Revel Horwood remarked: "It was actually making me laugh, and I still can't work out why because you don't look like you're going to be able to do it, and then you get up, and you're actually doing it. You were paying attention to great detail in the technical side of it as well. I loved it."
Leading the standings is social media star John Nellis with professional partner Katya Jones, who achieved a score of 31 following their Foxtrot. Meanwhile, three celebrities share the bottom position on the leaderboard, with Melanie Walters, Shaun-Wright Phillips and Dame Sarah Storey all receiving a score of 15.
