Strictly Judges Reveal Biggest Argument That Nearly Ended Friendship
Strictly Judges' Biggest Argument Nearly Ended Friendship

Strictly Come Dancing judges Anton Du Beke and Craig Revel Horwood have revealed the details of their biggest-ever argument, which the latter said saw their 'friendship out the window'.

The Podcast Revelation

The duo are set to return to the BBC One dance contest's judging panel when the hit programme returns later this year. But before they head back to the ballroom, Anton and Craig have joined forces for their own podcast, Judgemental, where they cast their opinions on pop culture, petty etiquette dilemmas, guilty pleasures, national treasures, and the most outrageous stories sent in by listeners.

And while they are close pals now, they have revealed that things were not always so great between them, as they once had a huge argument when Anton kept Craig waiting while he signed autographs for fans.

The Argument

Speaking in an episode of their new podcast, Anton said: 'I'm gonna tell you about the thing that drives you mad, gives you the ump. Drives you crazy. I know, I know exactly what it is – being late.' Craig replied: 'Well, now this is where our biggest argument will be. And this is where our first argument actually was, because friendship for me went out the window.'

'If I am sat in a car waiting for you, I will leave. I will wait five minutes and I will leave, darling. When I was in that car, I was fuming because you're there signing autographs, going 'Oh yes, darling,' doing all of that. And I thought, if you want to sign autographs, come down half an hour early. And I gave you a right b*********.'

He added: 'You've never done it since,' to which Anton then joked: 'So, from that point on, I always get in the car before him now.'

Upcoming Series

Meanwhile, Strictly will be back for its 22nd year and for the first time ever, a trio will be at the helm. Following the exit of presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, it was recently announced that Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe and Johannes Radebe will be the new hosts.

They will join the programme's knowledgeable judges - Craig, Anton, Shirley Ballas and Motsi Mabuse - who will all be back for another year, ready to cast their eyes on the new crop of celebrity contestants, with the 2026 line-up already being announced ahead of September's launch.
