Strictly Come Dancing champion Louis Smith has split from his partner of seven years, jazz dancer Charlie Bruce. The couple share two daughters, Marley, four, and Remi, one.
Couple focus on co-parenting
Sources told The Sun: “It’s really sad as the couple were a dedicated family unit, but now they have decided to go their separate ways. They are focused on co-parenting their young daughters as best they can. Both are keeping busy and keeping their heads down during this difficult time.”
Louis and Charlie have unfollowed each other on Instagram, and Charlie has set her Facebook status back to single.
History of the relationship
The pair first got together in November 2017 after meeting through mutual connections on the West End. Louis has previously described Charlie as “my woman”, his “beautiful partner” and an “amazing” mother. When their daughter Remi was born in 2024, he wrote: “Charlie, you are so incredible to go through what you did. Should be so proud.”
Before settling down with Charlie, Louis described his ex-girlfriend Billie Whyatt as his “future wife” – but was left “heartbroken” in 2011 when they split. He later dated The Only Way is Essex star Lucy Mecklenburgh, but they called it quits in 2015.
Recent work
Louis, who lifted the Glitterball trophy with Flavia Cacace, has turned to wedding photography work in recent months as his TV and West End work became less regular.
