Strictly Come Dancing fans are eagerly awaiting September as the BBC begins revealing the contestants for the 2026 series. Three celebrities have already been confirmed, with more expected soon.
New Hosts and Returning Judges
This year brings significant changes to the show. New presenters Emma Willis, professional dancer Johannes Radebe, and comedian Josh Widdicombe will take over the ballroom, replacing Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman after 11 years. The judging panel remains unchanged, with Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke, and Head Judge Shirley Ballas all returning.
Confirmed Contestants
So far, three celebrities have signed up for the Glitterball trophy:
- Lacey Turner – The EastEnders actress, known for playing Stacey Slater, is taking a break from Albert Square. Bookmakers already consider her a frontrunner. She said: "I am so excited to be making my way to the dance floor this year. I am a huge fan and can't quite believe I will be taking part."
- Delta Goodrem – The Australian singer, who rose to fame in 1993, has joined the line-up. She has previously served as a judge on The Voice and competed in Eurovision. She said: "I'm absolutely thrilled to be joining Strictly and can't wait to get started."
- Dani Dyer – The former Love Island star returns after an injury forced her early exit last year. She was paired with Nikita Kuzmin but withdrew before the show began. She said: "I am so excited to be back in the ballroom this September. Hopefully this time I can actually make it to week one."
More names are expected to be announced soon as the competition heats up.
