The BBC has confirmed the line-up for the second series of The Celebrity Traitors, set to air later this year on BBC One and iPlayer. The show will feature 21 famous faces competing in the ultimate game of deception and betrayal for a charity prize of up to £100,000.
Host Claudia Winkleman will welcome a diverse cast including BAFTA and BRIT award winners, social media stars, actors, comedians, and presenters. The celebrities will navigate the iconic Traitors castle, questioning who to trust and who is secretly plotting murder under the cover of darkness.
The first series, which debuted in October 2025, was a runaway success with an average audience of 14.9 million and a peak of 15.4 million for the finale. It became the top entertainment episode across the market since 2016 and the number one series across all genres and platforms in 2025.
The fourth series of the original The Traitors, which aired in January 2026, also achieved strong ratings with a 12.5 million 28-day average, up 22% on series three. BBC iPlayer drove 53% of viewing, with 6.6 million viewers.
The Celebrity Traitors series two (10 x 60 minutes) is produced by Studio Lambert Scotland and commissioned by Kalpna Patel-Knight. Executive producers include Mike Cotton, Sarah Fay, Lewis Thurlow, and Katy Fox. The show is based on the Dutch format De Verraders, created by IDTV in cooperation with RTL Creative Unit.
