Stephen Graham Rumoured for Celebrity Traitors Cast

Speculation is mounting over the lineup for the second season of Celebrity Traitors, with actor Stephen Graham among the names rumoured to be joining Claudia Winkleman's game of deceit. According to the Daily Mail, the BBC is 'absolutely desperate' to secure the 53-year-old star, who recently earned acclaim for creating and starring in Netflix's Adolescence.

An insider told the publication: 'He is one of the most formidable actors of our generation, and the nation adores him, but no one really knows what he's like as a person, so there is a definite hunger among viewers to see what he is like in a more reality-based setting.' Graham previously appeared on Celebrity Gogglebox in 2023 for Stand Up To Cancer.

Comedian James Acaster is also reported to be in the mix, with The Sun stating he is 'the latest to join the line-up for the BBC One contest which starts filming in the Scottish Highlands next weekend.' Fans have reacted enthusiastically, calling the potential casting 'incredible' and 'chaotic and glorious'.

Former England footballer Peter Crouch, 45, is another rumoured participant. A source told The Sun: 'Producers think Peter would be brilliant. He's sporty, competitive and really funny. They know landing him would be a big coup and bring a new type of viewer to the series.' Crouch has previously expressed interest, saying: 'I love Celebrity Traitors but I don't know if I could go on it. I'd be a traitor. Being a traitor is the one.'

Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher has also hinted at involvement, responding to a fan on X with 'I've been asked.' While not confirmed, fans have already speculated about his potential role as a traitor. The first celebrity series saw Alan Carr win £87,500 after successfully deceiving his fellow contestants.
