Simon Cowell's new boyband December 10 have admitted they did something a little "sneaky" while filming for the music mogul's Netflix documentary. The seven lads were scouted during the project's production and were not supposed to know each other's identities.
Exclusive Revelation on the Red Carpet
During an exclusive chat with Daily Star's Bekka Barnard on the Capital Summertime Ball red carpet, Danny told us: "Do you know what, we had a very strong name. We thought we were going to be called We Know Why."
"So basically, before the show came out we weren't allowed each other's contact details and stuff. Sneakily we got them, behind-the-scenes, and I named the group chat We Know Why because we all know why we're here."
Brainstorming the Perfect Name
Seán then joined in: "For about two months we rallied through so many names, it was unbelievable! There were sheets, pages."
Nicolas added: "There was one time when we were in the studio recording music and we took an hour to go through names. There was a piece of paper with over 100 names. Very good ones and very, very bad ones. Terrible. Some very bad ones."
The other boys giggled and said: "Some should never go out...that paper should get ripped up...I think we did rip it up!"
Why December 10?
The lads all agreed that December 10 "is the best" name that was in the mix. The meaning behind the boyband's name sparked questions after the seven boys flew to the final of Simon Cowell: The Next Act as he scouted for the faces of his new project.
December 10 is actually sentimental as it was the release date for the Netflix documentary.
