Sharon Stone’s Youthful Look at 68 Sparks Surgery Speculation

Sharon Stone turned heads during a visit to SiriusXM Studios in New York City on Wednesday, with her fresh-faced appearance prompting online speculation about plastic surgery. The 68-year-old actress wore a bright red jacket, black shirt, khaki trousers, and red heels, complemented by a wavy blonde bob and pink lipstick that accentuated her high cheekbones and smooth skin.

Social media users were divided, with one commenting on Facebook, “Doesn’t look like her,” while another agreed, and a third defended her, saying she “looks good.” Stone has previously spoken candidly about cosmetic procedures, telling New You magazine that she has resisted facelifts despite multiple offers from doctors. “I can’t tell you how many doctors try to sell me a facelift,” she said. “I’ve even gone as far as having someone talk me into it, but when I went over and looked at pictures of myself, I thought, what are they going to lift?”

The Basic Instinct star added that she believes imperfections can be sensual in the aging process. “People are afraid of changing; that they’re losing something. They don’t understand [they] are also gaining something… As I lost the fullness in my face, I got in these great cheekbones.” She expressed support for those who choose plastic surgery but cautioned against distortion, and suggested that therapy should be part of the process.

Stone revealed that she had Botox and filler in her younger years, but her perspective changed after suffering a stroke and brain hemorrhage in 2001. She told Vogue Arabia that she needed “over 300 shots of Botox and filler to make the one side of my face come up again,” which transformed her view of cosmetic surgery from a “cute luxury” to a “massive, painful neurological need.” The stroke took seven years to recover from, during which she lost her home and career momentum. “I had to remortgage my house. I lost everything I had. I lost my place in the business,” she told Variety.
