Sharon Osbourne is struggling to cope following the death of her husband Ozzy Osbourne, her son Jack has revealed in a new interview. The Black Sabbath frontman died in July at age 76, just days after a final concert orchestrated by Sharon. The couple had moved back to Buckinghamshire for retirement, but Ozzy's health declined rapidly, and he died at home weeks later.
Speaking on Good Morning America, Jack said: 'She's OK, but she's not OK.' He added that the family did not expect the overwhelming outpouring of love from fans. 'Every child sits there and thinks about one day that parents won't be there... We just didn't think of it. It was a different weight to it,' he said.
In a video released after Ozzy's funeral, Sharon admitted she was still finding her footing. 'I'm still having trouble finding the words to express how grateful I am for the overwhelming love and support... it's carried me through many nights,' she said alongside daughter Kelly.
Sharon also faced a colon cancer diagnosis in 2002, which she kept from her family to avoid worrying them. She continued working on the reality show The Osbournes during treatment. Ozzy previously credited Sharon with saving his life, saying: 'If it wasn't for Sharon Osbourne, I wouldn't be here now... I'd be six foot under without a shadow of a doubt.'
